Premium Nutrition for Your Exotic Pets
When it comes to the health of your reptile or raptor, quality is non-negotiable. Stoffels Frozen Jumbo Mice are raised under strictly controlled conditions to ensure they are free from parasites and diseases. Each mouse is humanely euthanized and immediately flash-frozen. This process preserves the biological integrity of the proteins, fats, and minerals, ensuring your pet receives a meal that mimics their natural diet in the wild.
Why Choose Jumbo Mice?
As your pet grows, their caloric needs increase. Jumbo mice (25-35g) are specifically sized for:
-
Adult Corn Snakes and other medium-sized colubrids.
-
Sub-adult Ball Pythons transitioning to larger prey.
-
Large Monitors and Lizards requiring a whole-prey protein source.
-
Owls and Falcons in rehabilitation or private care.
The Ecopack Advantage
We believe in caring for the planet as much as we care for your pets. The Stoffels Ecopack reduces plastic waste by utilizing sustainable packaging materials without compromising the freshness or safety of the frozen product.
Beginner’s Guide: Feeding Instructions
If you are new to keeping reptiles, feeding frozen-thawed (F/T) prey is the safest method for both you and your pet.
-
Thawing: Never use a microwave. Place the required number of mice in a sealed bag and submerge in cold water until completely soft (no hard core).
-
Warming: Briefly dip the mouse in warm (not boiling) water to bring it to approximately 37°C. This helps the reptile’s heat pits “track” the prey.
-
Offering: Use feeding tongs (hemostats) to offer the mouse to your pet. This prevents accidental bites and keeps your scent separate from the food.
-
Hygiene: Always wash your hands and any surfaces thoroughly after handling frozen feeders.
Note: Do not handle your reptile for at least 24–48 hours after feeding to prevent regurgitation.
