Premium Nutrition for Your Exotic Pets
Choosing the right feeder is the most critical decision for a reptile keeper. Stoffels Frozen Rats are raised under strictly controlled conditions and fed a high-quality laboratory-grade diet. This ensures that when you feed your pet, they are receiving a balanced ratio of calcium, protein, and fats necessary for healthy growth, shedding, and energy levels.
The EcoPack Advantage
We believe in sustainability. The EcoPack series uses minimal plastic and recyclable materials without compromising the hygiene or safety of the product. The vacuum-sealed or specialized freezing process prevents “freezer burn,” keeping the prey fresh for longer periods.
Why Choose Frozen Over Live?
For the beginner aquarist or herpetologist, frozen-thawed feeding is the gold standard:
-
Safety: Eliminates the risk of live prey biting or injuring your pet.
-
Hygiene: The freezing process helps eliminate many common parasites found in live rodents.
-
Convenience: Easily stock up and feed on your own schedule without maintaining a colony of live rodents.
Preparation & Feeding Guide (Beginner Friendly)
-
Thawing: Never use a microwave. Place the rat in a sealed bag and submerge it in cool to lukewarm water until completely soft to the touch.
-
Warming: Once thawed, briefly dip the head of the rat in warm water (approx. 35-38°C) to simulate natural body heat, making it more enticing for your pet.
-
Feeding: Use feeding tongs (hemostats) to offer the rat to your pet. Gently wiggle the prey to mimic movement.
-
Hygiene: Always wash your hands and any surfaces thoroughly after handling frozen feeders.
