Restore Your Flipper’s Cleaning Power
Over time, even the best aquarium scraper blades dull or develop microscopic nicks from tackling tough algae. If you notice your Flipper Max is leaving streaks or requiring more effort to clean the glass, it is time for a fresh blade. This official 2-pack of Flipper Max Stainless Steel Replacement Blades ensures your magnet cleaner operates with the same effortless efficiency as the day you bought it.
Beginner-Friendly Efficiency
As a new aquarist, keeping up with tank aesthetics can feel overwhelming. These blades are designed to do the heavy lifting for you. Made from premium, marine-grade stainless steel, they effortlessly slice through stubborn hard algae—like coralline or tightly adhered green spot algae—saving you time and physical effort during your weekly maintenance routine.
Key Features & Benefits
-
Dual-Sided Safety Design: Each blade features a precision edge optimized for aquarium safety, drastically minimizing the risk of scratching your glass when used correctly.
-
Marine-Grade Durability: Crafted to resist rust and degradation in both freshwater and harsh saltwater environments.
-
Cost-Effective 2-Pack: Keeps a backup blade handy so you are never left stuck with a dirty tank right before guests arrive.
Important Usage & Safety Tips for Beginners
⚠️ CRITICAL WARNING: These steel blades are strictly for GLASS aquariums only. Using steel blades on an acrylic (plastic) aquarium will cause permanent, severe scratching. If you have an acrylic tank, ensure you purchase the Flipper Max ABS Plastic Replacement Blades instead.
-
Avoid the Substrate: When scraping near the bottom of your tank, keep the blade at least 1–2 inches away from the sand or gravel. If a piece of substrate gets trapped between the blade and the glass, it will scratch the tank as you move the magnet.
-
Easy Installation: Carefully slide your old, dull blade out of the Flipper Max housing and snap the new one securely into place. Always handle with care, as the edges are sharp.
-
Post-Clean Care: After use in saltwater, it is a great practice to rinse the scraper in freshwater and dry it to maximize the lifespan of the blade.
