Seachem Alkaline Buffer™ – pH and Alkalinity Adjuster for Freshwater Aquariums

Seachem Alkaline Buffer™ is a professional-grade, non-phosphate buffering agent designed to safely raise pH and increase carbonate hardness (KH) in freshwater aquariums. Ideal for planted tanks or aquariums with very hard water, it avoids the risk of algae blooms and cloudiness often associated with phosphate-based buffers.

Formulated to buffer within the pH range of 7.2 to 8.5, Alkaline Buffer™ works effectively in conjunction with Seachem Acid Buffer™ to allow precise, controlled pH adjustments. It enhances water stability, supports healthy biological activity, and creates a more suitable environment for a wide range of freshwater fish and plants.

Directions for Use:
Add 1 teaspoon (6 g) per 80 L (20 US gallons) of water daily until the desired pH is achieved. This dose increases alkalinity by approximately 1 meq/L (2.8 dKH). For best results and accurate dosing, use the Seachem Digital Spoon Scale. When combining with Acid Buffer™, refer to the recommended ratio chart to target specific pH levels.
