ABA Authentic Soil is a high-quality, slow-release fertilized substrate designed to support lush plant growth in freshwater aquariums. Ready to use straight from the package, it can be applied on its own or used in combination with a standard fertilized substrate as a top layer, with a recommended thickness of at least 3–4 cm.

This unique substrate is derived from a natural volcanic material that is thousands of years old, sourced from a volcanic island south of Japan. It is enriched with naturally occurring fertilizing elements and carefully processed through a dual-stage heating method — first at 400°C, then at 200°C — to achieve its characteristic spherical shape. The result is a 100% natural substrate with no synthetic additives, offering a soft texture ideal even for the most delicate aquatic plants to develop strong, healthy roots.
