Cryptocoryne balansae is a beautiful, unique aquatic plant that is often admired for its long, narrow, and lush green leaves. It’s ideal for aquariums and can thrive under the right conditions with minimal maintenance.

Care Requirements:

• Tank Size: Suitable for medium to large aquariums (20 gallons or more).
• Lighting: Prefers moderate to low lighting. Too much light can lead to algae growth, so ensure it’s not exposed to excessive light for long periods.
• Temperature: Thrives in temperatures between 22–28°C (72–82°F). Ideal for tropical aquariums.
• pH Range: Tolerates a pH range from 6.0 to 7.5 (slightly acidic to neutral).
• Water Hardness: Prefers soft to moderately hard water (3–12 dGH).
• Substrate: Prefers a nutrient-rich substrate. It can also benefit from the addition of root tabs or aquarium fertilizers to encourage healthy growth.
• CO2 Requirement: Can do well without CO2 supplementation but will grow best with it, particularly if you want faster growth.
