Description
What is PURE Aquarium?
PURE Aquarium is an advanced water conditioning solution, featuring live bacteria and enzymes encapsulated in a unique gel ball delivery system. This innovative method ensures an effective and controlled release of beneficial microorganisms to maintain a healthy and clear aquatic environment.
How Does PURE Aquarium Work?
The bacteria within each PURE Aquarium ball remain dormant until they are placed into aquarium water. When fish are introduced, they produce ammonia—a primary food source for the bacteria. The bacteria are then activated, exiting the ball to consume fish waste and other organic material. As the ball gradually shrinks, the bacteria spread across the substrate, decorations, and filter media. Additional bacterial strains in PURE Aquarium specialize in water clarification and the reduction of organic waste, promoting a balanced and thriving ecosystem.
Where Should PURE Aquarium Balls Be Placed?
For optimal performance, place the PURE Aquarium balls inside the filter in a secure area, ideally within a filter bag to keep them contained. Positioning them in areas with good water flow enhances their effectiveness. If filter placement is not possible, the balls can be added directly to the aquarium. However, caution is advised if the aquarium contains large fish (over 15 cm), as they may mistake the balls for food.
PURE Aquarium vs. PURE Aquarium Bomb
The primary difference lies in their intended use. PURE Aquarium Bomb is designed for quick results during the setup of new aquariums and filters, providing a rapid boost to biological stability. PURE Aquarium, on the other hand, is tailored for regular use and long-term maintenance. In established aquariums, PURE Aquarium helps to enhance water clarity and reduce organic waste, often delivering noticeable improvements within 24 hours.
Why Doesn’t PURE Aquarium Seem to Work?
Even if visible changes aren’t immediately apparent, PURE Aquarium is actively working as soon as it is added to an aquarium with fish and properly conditioned water (dechlorinated and at the right temperature). Millions of bacteria are released from the balls, seeding the environment and contributing to water quality improvements. In mature, well-maintained aquariums, the differences may be subtler, such as reduced solid waste. However, in poorly filtered or dirty tanks, the benefits, including improved clarity and reduced organic build-up, are often more dramatic and noticeable.
