Hikari® Wheat-Germ Formula is a precisely formulated floating pellet designed for koi, providing essential nutrients to support their health and growth. With its finely tuned nutritional package, this food is ideal for colder water temperatures, promoting enhanced digestion and reducing the risk of swim bladder issues. The high wheat-germ content ensures that koi receive balanced nutrition while maintaining excellent skin condition and vibrant coloration. This formula is rich in vitamins and minerals, such as stabilized vitamin C and vitamin E, which support immune health, fertility, and growth.
Feed your koi based on the water temperature:
- 64-86°F (18-30°C): Feed 2-4 times per day, providing the amount they will consume in 5 minutes.
- 41-64°F (5-18°C): Feed twice daily, giving them the amount they will consume within 5 minutes, ideally during the warmer part of the day.
- Below 41°F (5°C): Do not feed.
Monitor your koi’s appetite, especially after illness or medication, and avoid overfeeding. Remove any uneaten food after feeding. Note that natural ingredient variations may cause slight color changes between production lots, but each package adheres to Hikari’s strict quality standards.
