Hikari® Sinking Wheat Germ is a specially formulated diet designed to promote rapid acceptance and efficient digestion in koi. The ideally sized sinking pellets ensure easy access to nutrients, supporting proper form, excellent skin condition, and overall health. Packed with high levels of wheat germ, this formula minimizes the risk of bloat or swim bladder issues, making it an ideal choice for colder water conditions. Carefully selected ingredients enhance the translucent depth and gloss of koi’s white areas, while added vitamins and minerals, such as vitamin E and stabilized vitamin C, promote fertility, desirable growth, and a robust immune system.

To maintain optimal health, monitor water temperature and adjust feeding frequency and portions accordingly. At 64-86°F (18-30°C), feed two to four times daily, offering only what fish can consume within five minutes. At 41-64°F (5-18°C), reduce feeding to no more than twice daily, ideally during the warmest part of the day. Below 41°F (5°C), refrain from feeding, as koi’s metabolism slows significantly. During periods of appetite loss, illness, or medication, closely monitor feeding to prevent issues caused by uneaten food.
