Channa andrao (Dwarf Snakehead)

Channa andrao, commonly known as the Dwarf Snakehead, is a captivating and vibrantly coloured freshwater species prized for its striking blue and red hues and manageable size, making it suitable for species-dedicated aquarium setups. Native to northeastern India, this snakehead is known for its unique surface-breathing ability, adaptability, and fascinating behaviour.

• Compact Size: Reaches an adult size of approximately 15–20 cm, suitable for medium-sized aquariums starting from 100 litres for a single specimen or pair.

• Striking Colouration: Exhibits vivid blue and red colouration, intensifying during breeding and under optimal conditions.
