If you have ever struggled with finicky carpeting plants like Dwarf Hairgrass or Hemianthus callitrichoides (‘HC’ Cuba), Staurogyne repens is the perfect alternative. Planting & Aquascaping Techniques

When your plant arrives, prepare it by cutting the stems into smaller individual portions. Using a pair of fine aquascaping tweezers, gently push each stem into a nutrient-rich soil or fine gravel substrate, leaving about 1–2 inches of space between them.

• The Carpet Effect: As the stems grow upward, pinch off the tallest shoots. This encourages the plant to branch out horizontally, sending out lateral shoots that quickly form a thick, interconnected carpet.
